What are they spraying up there?

At 10:18 this morning, I photographed this view:



They look like single plumes on the tails of missiles, but on closer inspection (when I've seen then directly above me) the contrails are actually made of six plumes shooting out of the end of the plane.

You'd expect this over agricultural land with farmers spraying silver nitrate, barium, pesticides and the like. But over a city like London?
